Langden Brook Bridge, Forest of Bowland, Lancashire. ![]() Langden Brook Bridge spans Langden Brook a watercourse in the Trough of Bowland, Lancashire, England. Langden Brook is a tributary of the River Hodder. ![]() Approaching Langden Brook Bridge from Whitewell on the Whitewell to Dunsop Bridge road. The bridge has a single elliptical arch made of sandstone ashlar (Ashlar is finely dressed, cut and worked stone).
There seems to have been thoughts of having a second smaller arch, which has been bricked up. ![]() Approaching Langden Brook Bridge from Dunsop Bridge showing how sharp the corner is just before you go over the bridge. |
