Alison talks about the history of the farm which has been in the Whitaker family for over 100 years. It is a hillside mixed stock farm of cattle and sheep situated in Dunsop Bridge in the heart of the Forest of Bowland an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The farm which is also a B+B is part of the King Charles III Whitewell Estate, in the Duchy of Lancaster and Queen Elizabeth II visited the farm in 1989. |

Edwina talks about the history of the farm, a mixed stock upland hill farm of 100 hectares of beef cattle and sheep managed with the Higher Level Stewardship Scheme (HLS), to encourage the nesting of wild birds, such as curlews and lapwings. The farm also has a classroom for visiting schools and over 20 rare breeds of cattle and sheep, pygmy and angora goats, a cafe and tea rooms for visitors. |
