This Old Barn is in the middle of a field between the Old Farmhouse of Upper Whitewell and Burholme Bridge close to the main road between Whitewell and Dunsop Bridge in the Forest of Bowland.

The barn is a stone construction with a sloping slate roofs, its south facing front wall has a large entrance and a doorway.

On the opposite side of the barn there is a brick extension with the roof continuing in a downward direction at the bottom of this extension there is another side doorway, and the original building has a side opening on the first floor.
