This memorial commemorates the residents of Mawdesley Village who were killed or missing in World War I (1914 to 1918) 18 names, and World War II (1939 to 1945) 5 names…

Many of these memorials were erected after the First World War. After the Second World War, the names of those who died in that war were also added to the memorial.

The Mawdesley War Memorial is situated on Hall Lane on the way out of the village on the road to Eccleston.
