All Hallows

All Hallows Church, Great Mitton, Ribble Valley.

All Hallows Church (previously known as the Church of St Michael) is in the village of Great Mitton, Lancashire, England. It was first built in the 13th century. Inside the church are memorials to members of the Shireburn family.

All Hallows Church was the original place of worship in the old parish of Mitton, which extended from the North bank of the River Ribble.

The old parish of Mitton extended from Ribchester in the West up to and including Grindleton in the East. It is therefore the Mother Church of all the churches built in this area.

The tower dates back to the early 15th century, and the north chapel from the late 16th century. The church was refurbished in the 2000.

The church consists of a nave, a chancel, a north chapel, a south porch, and a west tower. The oldest fabric in the church dates from the late 13th century.
