Bank Bridge consists of two bridges, one that carries the A59 road over the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and the other over the River Douglas.

The photograph above shows the part of Bank Bridge,
which crosses over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.

Both the Canal Bridge No. 11 (built 1790) and the Tarleton Bridge, which was built in 1821 using previous bridge footings, are both Grade II listed structures.

The photograph above shows the River Douglas part of Bank Bridge approaching from the Preston side. Notice how tight the bend is approaching the bridge.
