Dunsop Bridge, Forest of Bowland, Lancashire.
Puddle Ducks Tea Rooms Dunsop Bridge is a small village located in the heart of the Forest of Bowland and according to the Ordnance Survey is referred to as the geographic centre of Great Britain.
Dunsop Bridge Post Office Prior to the development of Dunsop Bridge as a village there were only a few farms and houses in the area, then with the advent of lead mining in the 19th century Dunsop Bridge developed into the small village it is today. ![]() Dunsop Bridge Village won Lancashire Community Council’s Best Kept Village “Hamlet Class” Competition in 1992. |

Dunsop Bridge Jubilee Park
If you take the public footpath at the side of Puddle Ducks Tea Rooms that follows the River Dunsop you will come to a football pitch and a play area, this is the Dunsop Bridge Jubilee Park. |

Dunsop Bridge Village Hall
On the north west side of the village on the road to the Trough of Bowland is Dunsop Bridge Village Hall. |

Thorneyholme RC Primary School
On the north west side of the village on the Trough of Bowland road next to the Village Hall is Thorneyholme RC Primary School. |

St Hubert’s Church
On the north west side of the village on the Trough of Bowland road a little further on from Thorneyholme RC Primary School is the small Roman Catholic Church of St Hubert’s, built to the design of Edward Pugin. |

Thorneyholme Hall
On the east side of the village on the Dunsop Bridge to Newton-in-Bowland road standing on the banks of the river Hodder is Thorneyholme Hall. (Photographed and filmed in July & November 2022) |
