The original 15th century Great Hall still stands almost unaltered offering an excellent example of late medieval architecture. The Great Hall is 46.5 feet long by 22.5 feet wide.

In the Great Hall is a Free Standing Screen which is made of bog oak and probably dates back from between 1530 and 1540. It stands at the north end, covering the entrance to the original kitchens.

Suits of armour dating back to the 17th Century and the English Civil War, 17th Century breastplates, swords and helmets – including Morion, Burgonet, Close and Lobster styles.
