St Michael’s Church, Whitewell, Forest of Bowland. ![]() The current St Michael’s Church Whitewell replaced an earlier church on the site, and the chancel was added in 1896.
The church is in rendered stone with sandstone dressings with a slate roof, and consists of a nave, a chancel, a south porch and a north vestry. |

![]() ![]() There is a bellcote on the west gable and a cross on the apex of the right gable. The porch contains a doorway with a chamfered surround and a four-centred head. |
