The Red Pump Inn

The Red Pump Inn, Bashall Eaves, Forest of Bowland, Lancashire.

Traveling southwards on the main road between Cow Ark and Bashall Town, having just gone through the village centre of Bashall Eaves you approach The Red Pump Inn.

The Red Pump Inn. which is a Grade II listed building had a wing added in the late 18th century, this has been pebble dashed with an imitation slate roof, quoins, and sash windows.

The earlier wing has a stone-slate roof, and a south front of one bay with modern windows and a doorway with a plain surround. Both wings have two storeys.

The photograph above shows the red pump with an iron handle and a lead spout which the Inn was named after.
