Tower Lodge

Tower Lodge, Marshaw, Forest of Bowland.

The house built in the early 1900’s, is a Grade II listed building and has a rectangular plan with rounded corners, and is a single storey.

It was originally intended as a shooting lodge but never got completed. It is in stone with a hipped slate roof. and is in a Gothic style.

The windows and doorway have pointed heads, the windows containing Y-tracery. On the front and side are circular panels with quatrefoils.

Approaching Tower Lodge from Dunsop Bridge on the main Dunsop Bridge to Lancaster road.

The Lodge lies in an idyllic part of the Trough of Bowland, amongst streams and trees.
